ChromoTek meets researchers at their institutes in Germany: From October 27 to 30, 2015 our senior scientists Dr. Andrea Buchfellner and Dr. Larisa Yurlova will be on a 2.000 km road show and provide scientific seminar lecture series. They will deliver presentations on two topics as requested by local scientists:
“How to choose the best method to test protein-protein interactions” - a comprehensive overview on current protein-protein interaction (PPI) technologies that covers:
- Cell-based protein-protein interaction (PPI) assays
- Biochemical PPI assays
- Pros and cons: How to choose the right PPI assay
- Tips and tricks for performing immunoprecipitations and applying so-called alpaca ‘nanobody’ reagents

“Single-domain camelid antibody or so-called ‘nanobody’ tools for research” that covers their unique properties and advantages in various applications:
- Live-cell imaging: visualize endogenous cellular proteins in real-time
- Super-resolution microscopy: just 2 nm distance to target
- Live-cell detection of protein-protein interactions
- Immunoprecipitation: fast, reliable, robust and efficient pull-downs
